RFP SPECIALIST

My client is a global asset management firm located in midtown NYC. They manage approximately $225 billion in a wide range of global, regional and country-specific strategies - both traditional and alternative - in listed equity and fixed income. The firm prides itself in balancing the feel of a small firm with the scale of a large global organization. The RFP (Request for Proposal) Team within Central Marketing Services is responsible for responding to any questionnaires the firm receives from clients, prospects, or consultants pertaining to the firm or its strategies. The RFP Team maintains a centralized language database, Qvidian, which aids in the automation of the questionnaire response process and supports the tracking and reporting of questionnaire activity.

Essential Functions:

  • The role will encompass responding to due diligence requests for the firm’s third-party distribution and sub-advisory clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Track and complete due diligence questionnaires in support of the firm’s US third-party and sub-advisory businesses, working both independently and with sales associates

  • Communicate with internal groups to secure necessary commentary and data elements to ensure timely completion of questionnaires

  • Respond to various ad hoc requests

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Relevant internship(s) at an investment management firm

  • Desire to pursue a career in investment management

  • Strong reasoning ability; comfortable manipulating and reformatting data

  • Ability to multi-task and produce accurate work under tight time constraints.

  • Works well in high pressure and fast-paced environments

  • Detail-oriented self-starter with a high standard of accuracy 

  • Team player; can do all of the above while coordinating with a team member

Required Skills/Working Knowledge of:

  • Solid analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong verbal communications skills and comfort engaging all levels of firm management

  • Effective project management skills to ensure timely delivery of proposals 

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially concerning Word and Excel)
